Meetings
Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of each month, 7:00 P.M., at the Elmira Fire Department, 6080 'A' Street, Elmira. All meethings, other than the January meeting, are open to any interested person -- no obligations. January -- a closed meeting with the election and installation of officers and board of directors and presentation of special awards.
April -- a short business meeting, with the balance of the meeting devoted to final preparations for our April dog show and Sanction 'B' Match.
May -- a post-show pizza meeting to celebrate the success of our April dog shows and Sanction 'B' Match.
Educational programs are featured prior to many regular business meetings during the year, with a brief social gathering afterwards. Past programs include:
* fitness for overweight and senior dogs
* presentation by our U.C. Davis scholarship winners
* search & rescue dogs
* introduction to Rally-Obedience
* introduction to Earth Dog Trials
* introduction to therapy dogs
Social events during the year include our annual Christmas party, annual show work party, and annual yard sale.
